Game of the Round – Rookie Cockatoo Division
Concord Rocket Runners vs North Sydney Roadrunners

The North Sydney Roadrunners claimed an 8–1 victory over the Concord Rocket Runners in a matchup between the competition leaders and the youngest team in the division.

North Sydney came out strong in the first innings, bringing five runners home while keeping Concord scoreless. Their starting pitcher set the tone early, backed up by sharp infield defense that kept the Rocket Runners under pressure.

Concord responded in the second innings with improved fielding and determination. They were able to limit further damage and capitalised on a catching error to score their lone run. The Rocket Runners showed great growth and resilience, continuing to compete hard against a very strong Roadrunners side.

In the final innings, Concord’s defense stood tall, holding North Sydney to just three runs and finishing the game in style with a strikeout to close it out. Concord produced some quality fielding moments throughout the game, but North Sydney’s pitching proved difficult to overcome.

A strong final regular season performance from both teams, with the Roadrunners heading confidently into finals and the Rocket Runners continuing to show they are building toward a very bright future.

Final Score: North Sydney Roadrunners 8 – Concord Rocket Runners 1

Game of the Round – O'Neill Division: Five Dock vs Greenway

The Greenway Majors (OD) delivered a dominant statement on Friday night, shutting out the Five Dock Pterodactyls (OD) 17–0 in a game that was one-way traffic from the very first pitch.

Four pitchers combined for the shutout, but it all started with an electric opening spell from Edin B. The Greenway flamethrower was untouchable across two innings, allowing zero hits, zero runs, and racking up six strikeouts as the Five Dock bats struggled to catch up with the heat.

If the Falcons were hoping for relief, they didn’t find it. Dan W stepped onto the mound and picked up right where Edin left off — zero hits, zero runs, and four strikeouts in a clinical display. The Edin–Dan one-two punch is shaping as a nightmare for opposition coaches with finals fast approaching.

It wasn’t just dominance on the mound. With club in hand, Greenway’s lineup fired on all cylinders. Freddie L and Calum L led the charge, both going a perfect 3-from-3 at the plate to cap off a huge night for the Giants.

This was a complete team performance — ruthless in the field, overpowering on the mound, and relentless with the bat. Performances like this have the Giants believing there’s every reason they can be the ones lifting the trophy at season’s end.

For the Falcons, it’s back to the drawing board. A local derby against Concord in the Pennant series looms large, and they’ll be eager to bounce back quickly and restore pride in the Falcons green and gold.

Game of the Round - Five Dock Falcons vs Stealers Greensox, Graham Division

It was a scorching morning at Taplin Park, and the heat was matched pitch-for-pitch as the Five Dock Falcons faced off against the Stealers Greensox in our Round 15 Game of the Round.

Both sides came out firing. Caleb got the start for the Falcons, while Xavier took the ball for the Stealers, and neither offence wasted any time. A wild opening inning saw runs flying on both sides, with the scoreboard locked at 5–5 and setting the tone for a high-octane contest.

The Falcons turned to Albie in relief, battling hard as the Stealers began to build momentum. A defining moment came in the 3rd inning when Harlow entered the game on the mound for the Stealers and was struck in the leg by an absolute rocket off Leo’s bat. Showing incredible toughness, she stayed in the game and shut the door — allowing just a walk and no runs in a gutsy effort that lifted her team.

From there, the Stealers found another gear, pulling away to claim a 15–6 win in a thrilling, physical battle.

A cracking game of baseball played in brutal conditions — credit to both teams for putting on a great show.

Game of the Round 14 - Ross Division - Kissing Point vs. North Ryde Rams

Baseball the winner as Kissing Point walk off North Ryde 4–3 in a thriller ⚾️

The teams were welcomed by a stunning summer evening, with Oakleigh Oval presented in pristine condition — setting the stage for a cracking contest.

Both sides pitched and fielded superbly, locking the game in a scoreless deadlock until the top of the third inning, when North Ryde broke through with three runs. Kissing Point responded immediately, fighting back with two runs to keep the pressure on.

Outstanding defensive plays from both teams kept the scoreboard unchanged as the tension built inning by inning. Then, in the bottom of the seventh, Kissing Point delivered the decisive moment—scoring two clutch runs to seal a dramatic 4–3 walk-off victory.
