The 2026 Australian Little League Championships provided another unforgettable chapter in Ryde Hawks Baseball – we had two teams at nationals !!!!!

In all the success of Ryde Red we felt it was important to acknowledge the journey of Ryde Black who also proudly represented the Ryde Hawks and New South Wales on the national stage in Blacktown.

Competing against the best Little League teams from across Australia, Ryde Black embraced every challenge throughout the tournament with determination, resilience, outstanding sportsmanship and loads of smiles. From the opening pitch to the final out, the players demonstrated the hard work, preparation, and commitment that had got then through state to nationals. Every game provided valuable lessons and opportunities for development, helping the group gain experience that will benefit them and the Hawks for years to come.

While championships are measured by results, the true success of this campaign was reflected in the character displayed by the players. Their effort, teamwork, and willingness to compete until the final out embodied everything that it is to be a Hawk.

The team's success would not have been possible without the dedication of the coaching staff, team officials, volunteers, and families who supported the players throughout the journey. Their commitment helped create an environment where the team could learn, compete, and enjoy the experience of representing Ryde at the highest level of Little League baseball in Australia. So cool.

As the players return home, they do so with new friendships, lasting memories, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to compete on the national stage. The experience gained during the 2026 Australian Little League Championships will serve as a foundation for future success as these young athletes continue their baseball journeys.

After a week of hard-fought baseball, it was great for the boys to spend some time together away from the diamond, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. These tournaments are about more than just wins and losses — they’re about friendships, memories, and experiences that will last a lifetime.
