Macquarie claimed a 4–2 win over North Sydney Southsiders in a competitive Bazzana Division Friday night matchup!

North Sydney got on the board early, with a wild pitch and Nick Morley’s RBI double giving them a 2–1 lead. But Macquarie responded — Chansoo Joo tied it up, and Carmello Urzi’s clutch 2-RBI double in the 4th secured the lead.

Strong pitching from Patton van der Westhuizen and Aaron Hsieh held North Sydney in check, with Hsieh throwing 1.2 scoreless innings and striking out three.

Macquarie’s offense saw hits from Joo, Hsieh, Pierce, and Urzi, and the team ran wild with 8 stolen bases. North Sydney kept things close with hits from Morley, Tomoshima, and Wagner, plus 6 steals of their own.

What an incredible battle at Auluba Reserve! The Five Dock Falcons Diamond Dwellers came out on top with a hard-fought 7-4 victory over the Kissing Point Angels Wormleaton on Saturday. 💥

* Defensive Excellence: Two clutch fly ball catches at first base were game-changers for the Falcons.

* Intense 2nd Innings: The game was neck and neck at 4-3, with both teams delivering some solid on-base hits to keep the pressure on. ⚡️

* Smashing Doubles: Big-time hits from Cole Woodcock and Isaac Parker (Falcons), and Leo Cohen (Angels) brought the crowd to their feet! 💣

🔥 Introducing "Game of the Round" for Round 1, 2025 - the Stealers Wildfire vs. North Sydney Hit Dogs (Ross Division) 🔥

Stealers Wildfire took the win on Friday night, defeating North Sydney Hit Dogs 9–5 in a high-energy matchup!!

Cade Coleman and Alec Sochanski each hit 3-run homers, while Gordon Taylor went 3-for-4 and threw scoreless relief. The Stealers stole 7 bases and played error-free defense.

For the Hit Dogs, Aaron Dare led the way going 3-for-3, while Charlie Harkins picked up 3 walks and helped fuel their late push.

Both sides showed serious hustle – this one has set the tone for the season! ⚾🔥
