JUST IN - The 2025 National All School Baseball Championships were held last week in Perth. To make the NSW School Boys Team players have to go through either the CHS, CIS or CCS selection process. The NSW team dominated early but had to fight off some tough competition to be named the Australian School Boys Champions for 2025!!!
Congratulations to all the team and staff particularly the five Hawks, Ryan, Cameron, Lachlan, Kai and Liam and further congratulations to Ryan and Liam who were selected in the Australian School Boys Touring team for 2025 - way to represent #pRyde

Ryde Hawks Represent - Senior League Black
In a rain interrupted tournament, Senior League Black put up two good wins on double header Day 1 against Hills Red and Hunter Coast. Running into a strong Cronulla team on Day 2 meant they needed a big win on Day 3 which they did against Manly to secure a semi-final spot, unfortunately against eventual champions Ryde Red. Always a tough day at the office for Ryde v Ryde games but this group of outstanding young men left nothing in the tank. Congratulations to Paul Van Der Westhuizen, Spencer Howay and Gary Lowe and the whole team and families on their 2025 campaign, we are proud of you all #rydehawksrepresent #pRyde #weknowhowtomoveatarp

Ryde Hawks Represent - Junior League
Wow!! This team of outstanding young athletes finished with a 4-1 record but that was not enough to get them into the championship game .... oh baseball you are cruel. Another team fighting hard in a moving, every changing tournament missed out on a run differential count back, with the champions to be decided this coming weekend. With a late change to the team due to an injury, nine of the roster contributing on the mound, extra base hits and multiple home runs, this team definitely made it exciting for us. Lead by Matt Minard, Adrian Carter, Kristian Cruz and Matt Kelman this spirited bunch gave it their all and we are so proud of the way they competed. #rydehawksrepresent #pRyde

Ryde Hawks Represent - Intermediate League
Another great team of young athletes who transitioned out of Little League into real baseball with leads and pick-offs!!! Managed by James Morley, Ryan Petersen and Mark Lenton, this team played in a three team championship with Cronulla and Hills, the eventual champions. Dropping game one to Hills but winning game two over Cronulla meant a nail bitter for the team on double header day three. Sadly it didn't go the way of the Hawks but we are so proud of how they represented us and fought hard on every play in tight ball games. With nine of the thirteen taking the mound it was a real team effort and we look forward to the future for these Hawks #pRyde #rydehawksrepresent

Ryde Hawks Represent - Little League Black
With two tough losses in double header day one our Little League Black team were on the back foot, but with a mid tournament change of format, the door opened up for them, winning the remainder of their games to give them a 2-2 record at the end of pool play was enough for them to secure a quarter final spot, and what a game !!! tied 4-4 at the completion of 6 innings they secured the win over Cronulla Blue 5-4 to advance to the semi-finals against eventual champions Macarthur going down 4-1 to put them into a bronze medal game against Ryde Red. It is always tough to play mates from the same association and despite the loss Ryde Black can hold their heads high on a tough fought tournament. With a pitching staff that included 11 of the 13 rostered players, all players picking up hits, and the biggest home run of the tournament, the future looks amazing for these Little Leaguers, soooo much baseball in their future - Congratulations to the team lead by Les Tyrpenou, Tony Cesare, James McCallum and Haydn Dare - you all represented Ryde with character, courage and loyalty and we are very proud of you #ryderepresents #pRyde

Another team of new Hawks playing in their first State Championships in 2025 and what a ride!!! Coming out of their pool as the top team with a 4-0 record they went down in in a tight 3-1 semi-final ball game to eventual Champions Macarthur. With a team batting average of .467, and 8 of the roster seeing mound time, this team also had some fire power with multiple extra base hits and a home run !!! Finishing the Tournament with a 5-1 record these Hawks will be ready to jump into future All Star programs in true Hawk style - congratulations to Matt Pearse, Ryan Fury, Doyle Myles and Melisa Becirevic who lead the team - we are all so very proud of you #pRyde #rydehawksrepresent
